Privacy Policy
CVS is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information, in compliance with Quebec's Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).
1. Person responsible for personal information
In accordance with section 3.1 of Law 25, CVS has designated an officer responsible for personal information protection:

2. Jurisdiction and legal framework
Cold Vulcanizing Systems CVS is a company located in Quebec, Canada. Our processing of personal information complies with:
- Quebec's Law 25 (Bill 64, 2021), fully in force since September 2023;
- guidance issued by the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI), the supervisory authority.
3. Information collected
3.1 — Contact form
When you complete the form on the Contact page, we collect:
- your full name;
- your email address;
- your phone number (optional);
- your company (optional);
- the content of your message.
3.2 — Audience measurement (analytics)
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), property ID G-TQ0DYWYZ4V, to measure its audience in an aggregated and anonymous manner. No personally identifying data is collected by GA4. The information gathered is limited to: pages viewed, time spent on the site, regional or city-level geolocation, device type. Google's cross-device signaling (Google Signals), advertising personalization, and User-ID are disabled. IP addresses are anonymized. Cookies are configured with SameSite=Strict and Secure attributes, and their lifespan is reduced to 90 days (instead of Google's 2-year default).
4. Purpose of use
- Contact form: respond to your request, offer you a service or quote adapted to your need.
- Audience measurement: understand site usage in order to improve it.
No personal information is sold, rented, exchanged, or shared for advertising purposes.
5. Retention period
- Emails and contact forms: retained according to usual operational needs (business follow-up, warranty, service), then archived or deleted in accordance with internal archiving practices.
- GA4 data: default retention period of 14 months.
6. Your rights
In accordance with Law 25, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right of rectification: correct inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information.
- Right to withdraw consent: withdraw your consent at any time.
- Right to portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used technological format (in force since September 2024).
- Right to opt out of GA4: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
To exercise your rights, contact the responsible officer (see section 1). We will respond within 30 days of receipt of your request.
7. Security and confidentiality
CVS implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. The site is served over a secure HTTPS connection (valid TLS certificate).
In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk of harm, CVS undertakes to inform the CAI and the affected persons, in accordance with section 3.5 of Law 25.
8. Cookies
The site sets a limited number of cookies for anonymous audience measurement (GA4). No advertising cookies and no third-party remarketing cookies are used.
You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies. This does not affect site browsing, except for audience measurement.
9. Complaint to the supervisory authority
If you believe that the protection of your personal information is not respected, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI): www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
10. Changes to this policy
CVS reserves the right to modify this policy to reflect changes in its practices or in the applicable legal framework. The date of the last update is indicated below. Substantial modifications will be announced on this page.
